Tesla Model 3 collision repair in Los Angeles

Tesla Model 3 collision repair is the Tesla job we do most at our Koreatown shop. It ranges from bumper damage to structural work on the aluminum front end.

Two metals in one car

The Model 3 has an aluminum hood, aluminum front fenders and an aluminum front cross-member, all sitting on a body with high-strength steel rocker panels. Every structural repair starts with knowing which metal is where, because aluminum and high-strength steel are joined differently. Use the wrong method and the repair can look fine while the structure is weaker than Tesla built it.

Our techs are aluminum-trained and I-CAR Gold Class, and they follow Tesla's repair procedures for each material. That includes the rules for where a part can be sectioned and where it has to be replaced whole.

Cameras, the windshield and the glass roof

The Model 3's cameras sit behind the windshield, in the pillars and around the car. A repair that touches the windshield, A-pillar, roof or front fascia means the driver assist system has to be recalibrated, or Autopilot can misread the lane. We recalibrate in-house and check every sensor before delivery.

If the glass roof is damaged, we replace the full glass panel and then recalibrate the cameras.

Parts and the insurance claim

We order OEM parts from Tesla's parts catalog. On a Model 3 that matters for more than fit, because the brackets and mounts hold the sensors where the car expects them. If you want aftermarket parts to bring the cost down, ask and we'll go over it with you.

We handle Model 3 claims directly, including supplements for damage we find once the car is apart. State Farm DRP, Geico Drive-Thru, and every other carrier.
